The Uncouth Manor Hunting Camp was founded in 1952 by C.E. "Gene" Whipp and located on the Intracoastal waterway near Boston Canal (pronounced: boss-STAW) in Vermilion parish. It was later moved across the Intracoastal due to a barge crashing into it.
